We would like to report the full success of the X-Ray School @ HZB, Berlin from Monday 16 – Friday 20 March 2026.
The school will took place at Campus Wannsee of Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin and introduced participants to various X-ray diffraction and analysis methods, with a focus on applying them to current research projects. With young scientists from the ReNewPV network attending who were beginners in X-ray diffraction.
Topics of the X-ray school were
- Basic knowledge of crystallography and X-ray diffraction
- X-ray diffraction techniques and measurement methods
- Qualitative phase analysis and pattern fitting
- Introduction to crystallographic databases
- X-ray diffraction under non-ambient conditions
